Edelpappband

This binding is German in origin and translates to “noble cardboard binding.” It is known for its simple elegance, with thin boards edged in leather and decorated paper covers. The original Pappband cover was made from a single piece of cardboard that was scored and folded to create the spine and boards.

This model was made in a workshop taught by Giselle Simón based on notes by Renate Mesmer.
